Mobile/Web applications are becoming critical to enterprise success with requirement of managing data in database. Digital data that are location based can leverage DB2 spatial support. Mobile data that are transferred in 2 most commonly formats: JSON or XML, can use DB2 JSON and XML features. The coexistence of both relational data and flexible schema data in DB2 allow rapid delivery of applications while leverage existing DB2 qualities of services.
This presentation describes various integration scenarios of the Db2 Analytics Accelerator. This includes integration best practices to use the Accelerator with Big SQL on the Hortonworks HDP platform, enabling SQL on Hadoop with Db2 for z/OS underpinned with the Accelerator as a federated data source. Furthermore, we describe the integration of the Accelerator with Machine Learning (ML) for z/OS and Data Science Experience (DSX) Local, and the benefit it represents for specific use cases.
