Why CICS loves Db2 for z/OS?

This session shares real-life examples how CICS and Db2 for z/OS work together, introducing CICS and Db2 for z/OS concepts and cover ‘How-To’s’ from the CICS point of view. We will investigate why CICS + Db2 for z/OS is the favored option for OLTP processing in High Availability and ‘Resiliency’ environments. We will also share experiences gained in a banking production environment, examining a production credit card application concept. Last but not least, we’ll explore options to monitor CICS + Db2 for z/OS workloads and include dynamic dashboarding using Splunk and Elastic.
