This presentation discusses the importance of high quality CICS applications and how to achieve this. Quality aspects include efficient testing and debugging, quick and easy production fault analysis and proactive performance management to ensure good transaction response times and small CPU usage to control MIPS growth and the Total Cost of Ownership of the Mainframe.

1)SQLJ on DB2 using Data Studio Developer, setup, binding, automatic building with maven;
2)Performance comparison between SQL PL and SQLJ on a test case on DB2;
3)Performance comparison between PL/SQL and SQLJ on the same test case on Oracle using JDeveloper.
