Configuring DB2 10 for z/OS High Availability Environment for Remote Access

This session goes through the steps needed to properly configure z/OS in support of DB2′s unique high availability environment for remote access. This includes discussions on the TCP/IP Sysplex distributor policies; WLM service classes and goals and finally DB2 Connect Clients Sysplex functionality for both the java and non-java interfaces. Special set up is needed to properly configure DB2 in order to provide the highest availability, superior load distribution, and seamless transaction level fail-over for a DB2 data sharing group
