Especially with Data Gate v2.0 now available and with the EoM announcement of IDAA on IIAS, I'd like to provide a technical update and - most importantly - the roadmap of these 2 products.
More and more Db2 for z/OS users require AT-TLS encryption for their Db2 connections. However, there is still a lot of confusion which steps are necessary to configure the z/OS components as well as Db2 clients for AT-TLS connections. This becomes even more complicated if client certificate authentication against Db2 for z/OS is required. This presentation describes the essential steps on the z/OS side (with RACF, TCP/IP and Db2 involved) as well on the client side (with Java and non-Java applications) to achieve this goal. Special focus is on securing Db2 REST services and accessing them from Java and non-Java applications via AT-TLS.
This session looks at the myriad of local recovery failures that can occur in any Db2 organization. Most customers probably have a disaster recovery strategy in place, but what about all the possible local recovery situations? We’ll discuss many different types of recovery scenarios and how easy it is to ensure you're covered.
This session will cover both IIAS and Z Monitoring. It will focus on monitoring major components such as CPU, Memory, Storage, Network and replication (Integrated Synchronization) . will provide hints about automation. There will be monitoring enhancement feedback from customer experiences and tooling update.
