DB2 9 for z/OS introduces numerous features to further enhance database availability, performance and security. Improved online schema and structure change operations, enhanced backup and recovery functions, new options to manage fast data growth and innovative security capabilities are only few of the features that affect the way DB2 database administrators perform their typical tasks.
This presentation focuses on the features that are particularly interesting to database administrators, but it is not limited to them. Application programmers and other DB2 users will find it helpful in getting most out of the latest DB2 release.

This will include database modeling/design, application development, database administration, performance monitoring, problem determination, and data governance.
