Objectives:
Introduces the audience to the scope and content of the Data Studio family of products, which provide support for database design, development, administration, deployment, and governance. Initially, Data Studio will support the IBM relational database products, but over time this will be expanded to include Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and other databases used in the enterprise.

IBM Data Studio is a new integrated solution that helps IT organizations manage the life cycle of both the database and the applications that depend upon the database. This presentation will describe the capabilities of IBM Data Studio and the expected rollout of functionality over time. This will include database modeling/design, application development, database administration, performance monitoring, problem determination, and data governance.

The presentation describes how Datenzentrale uses a powerful, comprehensive DB2 for z/OS application performance analysis tool to optimize static and dynamic SQL.

Monitor every SQL statement that is processed by our DB2 system(s), 24 hours a day
Collect static and dynamic SQL
Identifyresource-intensive application programs and SQL statements
Evaluate application performance at multiple levels of granularity
Show SQL exceptions and error conditions
