RBDe/EGL and JSF

This session would demonstrate other types of JSF capabilities exist in EGL. Given the participants have already done the hands on workshop, the purpose of the session would be to show what more complex functionality is possible using EGL, JSF, and Ajax.

RBDe/EGL and access to host DB2 Databases

This session would present considerations and how -to information on accessing z/OS databases from EGL for the purpose of creating records, and running under WAS. It could also cover iSeries if there is interest in this. Demonstrations would also be included.

RBDe/EGL for DB2 Drill Down

This session will focus on SQL capabilities in EGL including the SQL Verb set and additional statements that can be used to control SQL access (and see new ones compared to VAGen). It will be a combination of presentation and demonstration.
 

RBDE/EGL hands on workshop (part 4 of 4)

UML class diagrams can be converted to corresponding EGL code. This will allow architects to share their models and high level architecture with developers through the use of class diagrams. Futures for RBDe/EGL will also be discussed

Web and Native service application creation is made very simple with EGL. Service is an integral part of the language, and this session explains the various flavors of service oriented development that can be undertaken in RBDe/EGL. Scenarios will include both creation and consumption of services.

This session will discuss how to develop robust MVC based web applications using EGL. EGL leverages Java Server Faces technology to provide easy web application creation that conforms to the MVC architectural framework. EGL also allows users to leverage the user friendly WYSIWYG editor and drag and drop development to create rich web pages that use AJAX controls.
