Typically, the first focus for a Development team is implementing a CI/CD pipeline for application changes, whereas, in practice, many application changes also require Db2 z/OS database changes.

Maryela will show how to provide application developers self-service capabilities for database schema changes through integration into the CI/CD pipeline while DBAs still can safeguard the integrity of their organization’s data .

What is new in Db2 13 for application developers? Let's explore these topics in this session. We will cover SQL related enhancements (more granular concurrency control, SQL DI, …) as well as performance improvements (FTB enhancements, sort enhancements, …) that application developers can benefit from. Accelerator customers are migrating to Z offering and monitoring is much more important topic compared to appliance model. This session will focus on Accelerator on Z Monitoring. It will focus on monitoring all Z components such as CPU, Memory, Storage, Network, db2wh and replication (Integrated Synchronization). I will provide hints about automation for real time proactive monitoring as well. There will be customer experiences and certain monitoring scenarios. This session was selected as one of the top 10 Overall Presentation in IDUG EMEA 2022.
