Mitja Makovec works for Slovenia’s largest bank NLB (Nova Ljubljanska banka). For the past 10 years he was part of the NLB’s DBA group responsible for administering several databases on several platforms including db2 z/OS, db2 LUW, Oracle and MS SQL server. Since 2012 he is a manager responsible for database administration and operations department in the bank.
In the presentation we will share NLB User experiences of latest enhancements of DB2 Analytics Accelerator v4 PTF5. Usage of new product capabilities further reduced CPU consumption on zSystem and the speed of executing not only analytical queries but also ELT steps was increased as well.
SQL Adria is the independent, non-profit organization that gathers relational database users for Croatia and Slovenia. It was founded 1994. and in the same year it has become the regional user group.
