Works at SV Group as IT architect with emphasis on database technology. He is Websphere, DB2 and Oracle certified specialist.
In light of today's trends for collecting and storing more data and with the concomitant regulatory obligation for long-term sotrage, the optimization of the disk space usage is imposed as a necessity. In this presentation, we will present how to identify DB2 database and tables, and to evaluate possible savings on disk space using DB2 compression, and that doing so improves the performance and availability of the database.
