In the NLB for many years, especially recently, much attention is paid to the management of IT (” IT Governance “). We strive to systematically upgrade and improve our management system as the foundation for effective implementation of IT processes, high qualification and motivation of employees, cost-effectiveness of IT and, most importantly, higher customer satisfaction with our products and services. In doing so, we rely on international best practice models such as: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, COBIT framework, Balanced Scorecard – BSC and others. We clearly define all the key processes of our work within which the central place occupies the »Development and change methodology of information systems«. One of the major steps of this methodology is definitely the »Release Management Process”, for which we formally define the “Procedure for Introducing Changes into the Production IT Environment.” The operation of this procedure is controlled by so-called “Group for IT Changes,” which is responsible for correct implementation of the defined process from the announcement of the proposal to implement the change, over its treatment in view of interdependence with other upcoming operations and systems, review the prepared changes in the light of different professional services (quality, security, architecture, …), the final approval or rejection of the proposal and finaly a feedback on the effectiveness of intervention performed. Interventions are performed on the basis of an annual calendar prepared. For each activity in the defined process there are clearly defined responsibilities of all participants.
