Bio

Ian Cook has 37 years I.T. experience of working with large systems, predominantly as a Systems Technical Specialist in MVS (since 1984), and DB2 (since 1987) technologies. Joining IBM in 1996, Ian worked in a Consultancy and Technical Leadership role, delivering Parallel Sysplex, DB2 Data Sharing, GDPS and general MVS services, to a host of UK clients, including many from the banking, insurance and retail sectors. In 2001 Ian joined the IBM Product Introduction Center as DB2 for z/OS Early Support Program Manager, and in 2008 he became a member of the IBM zChampion team, and supports the continued evolution of the platform, by assisting colleagues and clients with project engagements, and presenting education sessions.
